Renewable Energy with More Power

Wind Turbines combined with solar require smaller battery banks than solar only systems. This is due to the fact that a solar only system does not generate significant amounts of electricity during cloudy and stormy weather. The battery bank must be large enough to carry you through the bad weather days. With solar and wind, during bad weather days, wind speeds tend to increase and the wind module continues to charge your batteries during the bad weather days while your solar panels are idle.

The Most Efficient Renewable Energy Solar Power System

The Trihelix overcomes the limitations of traditional renewable energy. The technology incorporates BOTH wind and solar energy into a hybrid technology that is ideal for any location.  It utilizes wind, solar, or both depending on the environmental conditions of the day. This proven system has undergone extensive testing in multiple climates including frigid Scandinavia, the Caribbean islands, and the Middle East.

The TriHelix maximizes available natural resources to provide energy where it’s needed the most.  Military grade materials and EMP hardened electronics makes the TriHelix a first of it’s kind.  

Main Components

Solar Panels

The solar component of the TriHelix works with all solar panels, regardless of their dimensions and the spacing adjusts accordingly. Panels are mounted the same way as the roof racking system and rails may be trimmed according to panel size; 300-watt panels are recommended for optimum power output.

Wind Turbines
The TriHelix system boasts six low profile Vertical Axis Wind Turbines(VAWT) mounted on a single base. Multiple units may be interconnected to increase energy production. The system is silent, does not pose a threat to wildlife, and begins producing power in winds as low as 5MPH. The turbines utilize a proprietary axial-flux permanent magnet design-AFPM. This design is free from the maintenance issues that plague gear driven generators and allows for greater torque capability and lower operating speeds.
Base

The turbine housing is made from aircraft grade aluminum which makes it both sturdy and durable. The optional tower pieces are created from 7 foot sections of 10 gauge steel, laser cut and crafted into tower sections. Additional sections may be added, 7 feet sections at a time to reach the desired height for each unit. The use of both aircraft aluminum and 10 gauge steel makes this unit light and easy to put in place as well as extremely durable for longevity.

Control Module
The TriHelix system uses a proprietary Maximum Power Point Tracking Controller(MPPT), this allows for maximum power output to both the wind and solar inputs. This controller works in unison with the Outback on/off grid inverter system. In off grid applications the Outback system stores energy and distributes both DC and AC energy, as needed. The system is designed for both 110 and 240 volts and is easily expandable to meet power output needs.
